I have hereby committed to my husband Michael and his New York band mates (click on links below to check out the bands – they are incredible!) that I will perform with them at their October 28th show at Mulcahy’s in Wantagh, NY. I can’t back out now. I am making it official and posting it on this site! For the next 54 days… I must sing and play my guitar every day, practice and practice, and lose a few pounds so I feel extra-specially good up there on stage. Otherwise, there could be a lot of crying. And I don’t mean only from me… the crying could spread to all band members (especially my husband) and immediate family… if I haven’t lost a pound and don’t know what to wear, it could spread to friends as well. They will be crying for themselves, mankind, their sanity, my sanity, and for me to please please please go away if I’m not happy with my progress by the beginning of October. I cannot do that to them… it wouldn’t be right. I will just do it… practice, practice, practice… eat right… fit in some exercise… and shut up about it. It all comes back to that! hah!
Check out Michael’s U2 tribute bands… sign up, become friends. If all goes well in New York, I’ll bug the boys in Florida to let me open for them with a few songs and sing “One” with them during the show! If they can put up with me…. Eddie? What do you think??
